Part Number:BQ27220

Hi All,

I have tried several times, but still can't get the correct GPC report. I received this err below.

------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Thank you for your interest in the Gauging Parameter Calculator from TI.
There was an error in processing your report. The specific error encountered is:

The following errors were reported by the calculation engine:
Error: discharge data points less than 10, N=2 in file roomtemp_highrate.csv

Please see the Gauging Parameter Calculator for information about the file format and the procedure for creating the input zip file. Should you want to resubmit or need assistance with the Gauging Parameter Calculator, please reference the sites below:

• Go to Gauging Parameter Calculator to re-submit.
• Visit TI E2E™ Community on Battery Fuel Gauges or the Gauging Parameter Calculator.
• TI Battery Management Homepage

Thank you for using TI's Gauging Parameter Calculator for Battery Fuel Gauges.

------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

However, this error does not make any sense as my csv files have at least 1000 individual discharge points. Can someone please provide the specific meaning of that error and how it can be corrected?

here is my zip file.

LP2966: The rising voltage of the power supply exceeds the specified value.

Part Number:LP2966

Hi team,

When my customer power on system, the LP2966 output a voltage higher than the set voltage only 1ch.
The power supply configuration of the customer is as follows.

Input :5V(Several milliseconds to get up)
Output1:1.8V (Up to 2.4V as well as 3.3V output. Then it drops to 1.8V.)
Output2:3.3V

Perhaps I think that it is the specification of the reference voltage on the input side.

Please let me know if you have any ideas?

Best regards
Hayashi

TPS63020: Power Save mode and Synchronization issue

Part Number:TPS63020

Hi,

This is in regards with TPS63020 Buck-Boost regulator, we are facing an unique issue with the regulator. Our system is battery powered based on MSP432E microcontroller for water quality management. Measuring pH, Temp, Conductivity and Turbidity. We are powering section by section the circuit for measurement. When we are measuring the conductivity there is drop in the output voltage as shown in the datasheet when the device is configured for Power Save mode, but the device is not configured in power save mode. We initially thought it was the ADC ADS1256 which is creating the problem, based on TI Engineer suggestions we removed a lot of capacitors on the board, there was an improvement but not completely solved.

Please note the output voltage is set to 3.3V, MSP432E has an operating voltage of 2.97V to 3.6V, hence during the conductivity measurement the voltage drops as specifically when the PWM is switched ON or OFF for measurement. Link below explains the conductivity operations, In reference with the below circuit +15V & -15Vdc is generated using TPS65131RGER.

Another point to note: If 3.3V is supplied from an external source e.g. MSP432E Launchpad, everything works fine and there is no drop in the voltage, not even 0.1V on the 3,3V rail.

https://www.analog.com/en/design-center/reference-designs/hardware-reference-design/circuits-from-the-lab/CN0359.html#rd-overview.

The layout is followed as per recommendation on the datasheet.

Kindly let us know how we could resolve the issue.

Regards,

Muruga

Hi

We need to use Enable feature of IC " TPS61170QDRVRQ1 " .  So we connect 10K pull on Ctrl line and controlling its form micro controller GPIO.

Concern is when we pull the CTRL pin low, what will the output , will it be 0   or   5V. since as per boost circuit ( marked under red color) , if IC is disable than 5V has direct path to output.

BQ24125: Power management forum

Part Number:BQ24125

Hi,

I designed the charging circuit with BG24125 to charge a 3s1p Lithium-Ion battery. See the schematic below.

However, when I attached a battery (10.8 V), it's not charging.

The voltage at ISET1 --> 0, indicates it's not charging. The voltage at ISET2 --> 0.1 V. The voltage at TS --> 1.5 V. And STAT1 is on (pull to gnd), STAT2 is off (pull to high).

I couldn't figure out what's going on. Any suggestion would be appreciated.

Thanks,

Ye-Sheng

Dear,

Can you please help to check if TPS659039-Q1 can be powered by a single voltage rail(5V or 3.3V)? Any risks?

Or it needs to be powered by both 3.3V and 5V?

Thanks.

BQ40Z60: record "golden image" for mass production

Part Number:BQ40Z60

Dear

We have now launched the production of a medical device with your charging chip BQ40Z60. At the same time we are meeting the difficulties for mass production. This question has been asked several times in the forum (see related topics: BQ40Z60: Flash Records, BQ40Z60: programming BQ40Z60). But it was not solved and I had not been given any feedbacks from you.

We are unable to update the configuration of BQ. We can't record our "golden image"(.

We follow Your recommendations and Your documents. But the result is bad. I repeat our problem once again.

If we write data in flash to the factory version, the flash update stops due to errors (no response from BQ). If we increase the response time, the recording sort of passes, but when we compare the configuration (recorded and original) we see a lot of errors (starting from the address 0x4500 and on).

However, the record "golden image" using EV2300 is fine.

And then the data flash without the participation of the EV2300 updating is going fine.

We compared the SREC files with the original (factory) and our configuration. The files are very different in addresses that we do not touch when updating data flash. This is a completely different firmware.

We tried to take the data from our file (0x4000-0x5FFF) and concatenate it to the body of the original (factory) firmware. Generated SREC file we wrote in BQ using EV2300. Result – BQ chip is not working.

We came to the conclusion that we need to write the entire SPEC file. During the correspondence You confirmed our conclusions, but did not say how to implement it without the use of EV2300.

Do not leave this question without attention and answer all questions on sub-items.

1.  Why are there big differences in the SREC files in the program body between the factory and our configuration?

2.  How can such differences be sufficient only to update 3200 bytes data flash?

3.  Why is not all the data in flash updated that we send? (should we put BQ in BootLoad mode? How?)

4.  Main issue. How do we record our "golden image" without using EV2300?

Now we are under the first step of a new product development. We were to lay your chips BQ40Z60(orZ50). But we are stopped by an unresolved issue with the recording of the "Golden file" for mass production without the use of EV2300.

Best regards, Anatoly

Part Number:BQ25713

Hi team,

When BQ25713 OTG mode is disable, does BQ25713 has internal discharge path on Vbus channel?

In my customer' application, the PD supply has a requirement on Vbus, which need the Vbus to fall under 0.6V in 600ms.

If more description needed, please feel free to ask.
