Part Number:BQ24250
Hi everyone,
Today, one of our computers locked itself when we were charging our custom board using USB. Our custom board contains a lithium battery and a BQ24250.
We've found that the overcurrent/overvoltage security was the cause of the computer shut down, and we strongly think that it was caused by our board.
Following the table 1 of the BQ24250 datasheet, we connected EN1 and EN2 to ground to limit the usb current to 500mA.
=> Are there any cases where this current protection is disabled? What could cause the BQ24250 to draw more than the ILIM ?
Best regards
