Does bq20z65 works?

First it caused a fire, destroying thousand dollars worth of damage, and the replacement one does not work at all.  This crappy software, called bq easy, supposedly written by an incompetent programmer or some college intern, whoever these Focus Electronics is, it does not work at all.  First unit caused a battery fire, and no explanation whatsoever from TI, after two weeks in your possession.  Machine is asserting to connect EV2300 module, which has thousands of problems/bugs of its own, ask user to be connected to IIC port when bq20z65 implements SMB, and all other bunch of crap, but most of all, it refuses to turn on load side transistors for some stupid reason.  This is exact same phenomenon I observed when connected to EV2300, before it burnt the LiIon Battery, black uncleanable residue still remain everywhere from LiIon Battery ashes.  It's hard to believe someone actually wrote this software, and TI embraced it?

Is this an isolated incident, or it all your EVM come as crappy as this one.  None of the TI chip I've ever used causes grief like this junk machine.  Why is it so difficult to get a responsible response from knowledgeable staff, who can tell me what works or not?

Is it too much of work to provide some provisions/holes to allow standoffs if you weren't going to seal the PCB, or could TI's manufacturing cut-off excessive solder on the thru-hole mount component.  What does TI expect the load current from battery to be, in micro amps range?  How did someone size the input/output terminal based on what expected output current, because it wont accept any wires thicker than 20AWG?  All I know is not to use 20AWG wires on wires carrying excess of 1 Amps, regardless of length, especially when today's electrical wires are no longer made with cooper, but whole of garbage composite material that significantly increases temperature and impedance.

Where is your QA?  Does anyone in TI ever check if your own product actually work, before it is distributed to developer, or someone in TI actually understand this product explain how it work?  It's been frustrating 1 month, waiting for replacement, and then finding out all that time was wasted.
