bq27621-G1 gas gauge suitable for 50 mAh lithium polymer battery?

Can the bq27621-G1 be used as a gas gauge for a 50 mAh capacity lithium polymer battery? If not, can you recommend a gas gauge that can?

The parametric search shows all gas gauges having a minimum capacity of 100 mAh:

But the BQ27621EVM-G1 Quickstart Guide suggests that it can be used for a lower capacity battery with a simple scale factor correction.

I only need very basic performance, 5-10% accuracy, and the small solution size of the bq27621-G1 is preferred over larger solutions.
