I am new to TI parts and have purchased a Bq34Z100 Evaluation module. I would like to use the Bq34Z100 in my current design which has two Lithium Iron Phosphate batteries connected in series. I understand from the User's Guide and other supporting documentation that the best way to configure / program the Bq34Z100 is through the evaluation software and a connection from the Bq34Z100 EVM to a PC by another board identified as the EV2300 USB Adapter. Before I purchase the EV2300, I thought I should ask... Could I completely configure and calibrate the Bq34Z100 without the EV2300 USB Adapter and software? I would be programming the part over the I2C interface from a Microcontroller.
