The max design capacity in mAhr as listed for most of the TI fuel gauge IC's is much lower than specified in the datasheets.
For example, in the parametric data listed for the bq20z90-v150, the Battery Capacity (max) shows15000mAhr. However, the datasheet shows the max at 65535mAhr.

From experience using other parts the design capacity will allow for up to 65535 as stated in the datasheets.
Any reason for the parts being listed this way?
