I am looking at the bq28400 datasheet and on page 2, a block diagram is provided. On page 19, two diagrams are provided when incorporating cell balancing. Page 20, though, provides another application diagram. Which one should I follow if I want the IC to function as gas gauge, battery monitor, protection, and cell balancing? Should I recreate the page-20 diagram or should I just combine the diagrams on page2 and page 19 - Figure 3? If it is the latter one, combining page-2 diagram and Figure 3 on page 19, then what should be the values of the capacitors and resistors on the page2 diagram?
Also, what is the real operating temperature of this IC? Under the recommended operating temperature, it says -20 to 85C. In the Absolute Maximum Ratings, the ambient temperature is -20 to 110C. But it says on the available options table of page 1 that bq28400PW and bq 28400PWR both runs in -40 to 85C.
