BQ27510 - not entering ROM mode

Hello,

I am using BQ27510, and at the moment I am having trouble getting it to enter ROM mode.

I wrote to address 0x55: 0x00, 0x00, 0xF0.  The command  data is sent out successfully (it does not timeout), but then when I write to address 0x0B: 0x00, 0x00 it will timeout.  I can write that to address 0x55, which I think means the gauge does not enter ROM mode.

Is there any other commands / data that I need to send beforehand?  The CONTROL_STATUS is 0x0E06, which means FAS and SS bits are zeroes, therefore the gauge is not sealed, correct?

How can I get the gauge to enter ROM mode?
