A "Compare products" web page for the BQ27741-G1 and BQ27742-G1 shows that the only difference between the two are the Min Capacity (500 mAh and 200 mAh respectively) and the Integrated Protector for the BQ27742-G1. However the datasheet for the BQ27741-G1 (the one that doesn't show an Integrated Protector) makes it clear that it DOES have Integrated Protection (perhaps TI could add that feature to their BQ27741-G1 details for selection and comparrison if the datasheet is indeed correct). So other than the Min Capacity of each of these fuel gauges could someone inform me of the main difference between them? As the Max Capacity is the same for both parts, all other things being equal, I would spec the BQ27742-G1 as it would allow a larger selection of Li-Ion batteries for the pack, No?
