I have a number of battery packs which uses bq27541-V200 as the fuel gauge. The battery pack is sealed and have three terminal bat+, bat- and HDQ. Unfortunately, the manufacturer of the battery pack didn't disable the hibernate mode by setting the hibernate voltage an current in bq27541-V200 flash to 0, instead the hibernate voltage is set to 2900mV. Since the fuel gauge is configured for HDQ (one-wire mode), the battery pack stopped responding to the host via HDQ when it is fully discharged.
I have cut-open one battery pack and if the cell is physically disconnected from the fuel gauge PCB and then reconnect, then the HDQ interface will revive. I am just wondering if anyone knows any method that can be used to wake up the battery pack without cutting it open?
