Hello,
I had a couple questions regarding the bq78412 IC for SLA battery monitoring. First, If I have two 12V SLA batteries connected in series should I put a bq78412 chip for each one or can I just use one for the string of two batteries? Second, Do I need to the development board to use the bq78412 chip? Or will it be functional without any initial programming via the evaluation board?
