I'm using a bq34z100 in an application with this battery from Batteryspace:

The fuel gauge seems to work fine at first, but after left on the charger for a couple of days, the RemainingCapacity register slowly overflows, and then reads out faulty SOC and RemainingCapacity measurements. It seems to slowly creep up in capacity by about 1.5mAh per hour.
Ideas on how to fix this?
