We have had problems with 3S1P packs being depleted during shelf life storage due to the quiescent current of this part. Measurements show about 60uA quiescent current, which creates a less than 6mo shelf life when using the cell-manufacturer-defined storage SOC of 30%. It would seem a simple way around this is to have the gas gauge be programmed into 'hibernation' as the last step in pack manufacture, and woken up by the end customer by a press of the DISP button but I can't figure out how to setup the part to do this. Is this mode of operation available or is this something that requires custom gas gauge software? Is this something TI can do for us? Thanks!
