LM5116WG: Similar suitable part for our application

Part Number:LM5116WG

Hello,

We are designing a buck converter with the following specification:

Vin Range - (57V to 83V)

Vout - 16V Constant

I Load - 0 - 5A

We have a low power 16V input which can supply for the Vcc of the switching controller from the startup itself. The main thing is we want to avoid using very wide range switching controller like LM5116 as we do have a 16V supply which can supply for VCC through VCCX from the beginning and thus, avoid using the Vin pin completely. The high input voltage can go directly to the MOSFETs (External to the controller). We understand that the controller pins SW and HB would still see high voltage with respect to ground. We were wondering if we can find ICs which are simply more tolerant on SW and HB pins and are less dependent on Vin range.

In LM25117, I believe we can leave the Vin pin floating, use VCCDIS to diable the internal regulator and directly use the 16V we have to supply the Vcc of the IC through a series zener diode. But the pin tolerance of SW to AGND is given as 45V and we are worried if it will fail in our application.

We need suggestion on which switching controller ICs would be suitable for our application. We can also use independent bootstrap HS LS Gate driver with an independent controller (Only signal level), but we could not find any. Also, we are open to suggestion of switching controller with internal MOSFETs. Please let us know of all possible options at the earliest. The key objective here is to reduce the cost with no compromise on reliability as we are targeting high manufacturing volumes.
