Update BQ34Z100 with BQ34Z100-G1 new firmware

Hi,

I got to know we can update existing BQ34Z100 with the new firmware for BQ34Z100-G1. Would like to find out does the old BQ34Z100 works exactly the same as BQ34Z100-G1 after firmware upgrade? Is there any noticeable difference? 

To perform firmware upgrade and update it with data for learned pack, the proper procedures will be flash the old chip with BQ34Z100-G1 srec file using bqStudio then write the related parameters of previous learned pack into the data memory?
