I’m creating the golden file for the bq34z100 for our product and I’m hoping you can help. I’ve been going through the optimization calibration as documented in the SLUA334B document and I’m having an issue and need some technical help. The details of the issue are below.
Details:
I’m following the procedure in SLUA334B, using the bqEVSW v0.9.90 and a BQ34Z100.
I’m running the calibration listed for “When no close Qmax value is known:” section and have the following questions:
On step 7 I am supposed to verify that MaxError has changed to 3%. I can’t find a value that is referenced as MaxError.
Could you please clarify this value?
On step 7 I verified the Update Status value as 0x05 and that Qmax was updated so I continued with the procedure. After completing step 8 the Update status is still 0x05 and did not change to 0x06.
How should I proceed to complete the calibration? Currently I’m letting the battery rest.
