Hi all,
In my project i am using bq27421-G1A Fuel Gauge for Li-Polymer Battery measurement.
I have configure fuel gauge battery parameters are:-
Design Capacity = 108 mAh
Design Energy = 3.7 X 108 = 399.6 = Approx. 400
TerminateVoltage = 3200 mV
TaperVoltage = 4200 mV
Taper Rate = 211 (I took taper current 5.11 ma so for that Taper Rate = Design Capacity / (0.1 * Taper Current))
All parameters updated successfully and it gives me proper current and voltage etc.
so my question is
1) For charging circuit i am using TI's BQ 24230 and in that charging current is set 50 ma and taper current set 5 ma (using appropriate resistor values).
So its work fine it charge battery at 51 ma and stop charging when charging current gradually decreases to 5 ma.
Now during charging, SOC (State of charge) increasing with drastic jumps at the end like 93 to 100 or 88 to 100 or 91 to 100.
2 ) it shows me 100% SOC while IC still charging my battery.
Ideally If the taper rate is ( 0.1 * charge current) for 5 ma taper current then Fuel gauge should set its charging termination point accordingly.Means it shows me 100% when taper current reach around 5ma.
But in my case it shows 100% when even my charging current is not starts to decreases. So it is showing me full charging 100% early .
So Is there anything which i am missing or any update needed for proper measurement?
How can i resolve these issues?
