We are seeing the following issue.
When the battery voltage is brought below ~3.0 volts, the bq27541-g1 holds the I2C clock line low perpetually. It does not recover from that condition unless the (simulated) cell is disconnected and reconnected with a higher voltage. The SDA (data) line appears to be free. Of course, this behavior is unacceptable because it prevents the system from accessing any other peripheral on the i2c bus.
We have tried holding SDA and SCL low for t(BUSERR) period ( more than a minute) to no avail.
We suspect it is related to a bug in the HIBERNATE mode.
