I'm working on a 6s lipo battery and I would like to set the default chem_ID to the one determined by TI. However, I currently do not have acces to an EV2300 board or EV2400 adapter. I use a STMicroeletronics board and custom software to program the gasgauge and read out the data.
Now I understand that I can only use bqstudio in combination with EV2300/EV2400 so this is currently not an option. Is it possible to update the firmware of the gasgauge to the correct chem_ID using my setup? In other words: could you describe the protocol for updating the chem_id in the gasgauge firmware?
