Learn Cycle "Error: [RUP_DIS: Not Clear]" after discharge relax

I get an error from a learn cycle using Battery Management Studio with BQ27421 fuel gauge that states "Error: [RUP_DIS: Not Clear]" after discharge relax.

RUP_DIS and VOK are always set during the entire learn cycle.  The status register is 0x00h after the failure.

How and when should the RUP_DIS be cleared?

Here are the extracted Control Status and Flag register changes from the log file during the learn cycle with comments.  I found no instances of RUP_DIS or VOK being cleared during the learn cycle.  The Control Status and Flag register remain the same shortly after discharge and up and through the 360 minute rest time of the learn cycle.
