We are implementing the readout LEDs as in the evaluation module, in that schematic the LEDs are tied in the anode to a common node which is the emitter of a bipolar transistor in common base configuration, with the collector tied to CAP1, which according to the guidelines document for the BQ78350 goes through a mosfet transistor to VC5X, from what I understand that node would be at 18V, by VC5X/CAP1 having the voltage of 5 cells. There is no statement in any of the documents for the BQ78350 about the LED pins being current limited internally. Can you provide more electrical specifications about this pin and if in fact is a desirable configuration for the LEDs to not be current limited by resistors?
