I just want to take a moment to say how very unhappy my company has been with the level of support received from TI. We designed in the bq27530 / bq24160 gas gauge and charger combo into two different products. We have been experiencing issues with our BQ27530EVM board and trying to program it. Our post on E2E has gone unanswered by TI and the Americas Support Center just looks up our post and confirms it's unanswered. It is very apparent that other customers of the bq2753x family are having similar issues with bqStudio and their questions are also unanswered. The support center just keeps telling me they'll escalate the issue to supervision but there is nothing they can do as they don't have anyone to support battery products.
Why bother posting this? I am hoping somebody at TI will actually read it and realize they're risking losing a customer to a competitor all because they cannot reply to a forum posting. It took Linear about an hour to respond to our request for help, Maxim replied the following day and both companies preemptively had information about their EVM boards in their first responses.
