We read back unsteady value from “Battery mode” register from bq2060A bases BMS. The BMS integrates a protector and bq2060A FG along with on-board non programmed EEPROM. Through EV2200 EVSW, we observed “Battery Mode” register value is varying and “Capacity_mode” bit some time in ”0” other time changes to “1” which result in “Design Capacity” unit changing from “mAh” to “mWh”.As per bq2060A DS, the default of “Capacity_mode” bit of new chip set to “0” by manufacture so “Design Capacity” shall be in default unit -“mAh” accordingly.
Question:
Why “Capacity_mode” is not steady “0” from chip setting?
If EEprom not programmed , which factor could impact "Battery mode" register or “Capacity_mode” bit ?
Is this the normal status shown from new chip? Will it be set properly and steady once EEprom programmed?
