TPS65910: Backup Battery Discharge

Part Number: TPS65910

Hi,

I have a supercap of 0.22F 5.5V (pn FGH0H224ZF) connected to the VBACKUP pin of the TPS65910A3A1RSLR.
The PMIC is configured to charge the supercap at VBAT = 5.0V (BBSEL = 11).

After a charge-discharge test I have these results:
- the charge voltage is 4.8V ==> it is compliance with the datasheet specifications (VBAT - 0.2)
- the measured charge current is around 50mA ==> for my application it is ok
- the discharge current is around 1mA ==> to bigger than 9uA @VBACKUP = 3.2V, even if I have VBACKUP = 5V
- the discharge time is around 7h, instead the theoretical 856h = 0.22F * (4.8V - 2.7V) / 9uA, due to the high discharge current

I would like understand if the behaviour during the discharge is correct, in particular the discharge current, because it seem to be very high.
Are there some configuration registers to put the PMIC in sleep mode to reduce the discharge current? I need only the RTC function when the main power supply is off.

If it's necessary I can forward the file with the logged data.

Thanks in advance.
Best regards,
Angelo
