I'm looking for the fastest way to implement BQ27532 in my system (standalone, not communicating with charger). Since there's so much scattered and likely outdated information available for this family of devices, I'm curious if somebody from TI can advice me which of all methods can be used best in my situation.
I'd like to prevent the need for a learning cycle for each device at production, and even programming a golden image as a seperate step of production is highly undesirable. So any configuration data for the BQ27532 should be written by the microprocessor (in production firmware), and therefore should be as small as possible.
- Am I right that the most important things of the golden image consist of chem ID and design capacity, which can easily be configured manually from the microprocessor, and thereby skipping the whole DFI generation and -programming?
- Which calibration is really needed to have a SOC accuracy within a few percent? If possible I'd like to do this without EV2400, so manual methods for calibration are appreciated.
Any suggestions are welcome.
