I am using a BQ27GDK000EVM board to try to profile a battery for a fuel guage chip. I am connected to an external EVM board through the I2C bus, and also connected to the EXT_Load/Charger. The Ext_Load appears to be pulling ~35 mA but the BQstudio software thinks the EXT load is not enabled and pulling 0 mA.
When I go through the GDK tab and tell it do charge the battery at 200 mA I really only get a charge current read with an Ammeter of 165 mA. It appears that the programmable load is not correct?
If I unplug the GDK board from USB and external power and just plug in the external EVM to the i2C bus and the Ext_Load it still is drawing ~35 mA.
Any Ideas? I have updated the firmware on the GDK
