This is Chen. I am using BQ78350 on a 6s1p battery pack. In our use case, I need to monitor the current over 32A; so the Specification Information under SBS Configuration IPSCL0 bit is set to high, and the current shown on Battery Manager is the actual value divided by 10(BQ78350-r1 is different). Here are the problems I am facing:
1. Taper current for VCT(Valid Charge Termination): when the taper current is 28mA or above (actually 280mA), the VCT works normal. However when the taper current is set to 27mA or lower, no VCT will happen, and the FC and TC bits can't work properly.
2. When the OC(Overcharge) in SafetyAlert is active, it will set the TCA when SafetyAlert[OC] = 1, and the FC and TC bits won't change even we meet the VCT conditions.
I have both BQ78350 v6 and BQ78350-r1, and they both have these two problems. I really appreciate if anyone can help!
