Dear all,
We are still using the bq20z75 V.1.60 in a 4S4P LiFePo4 battery appilcation and it works OK. During the last year I have noticed some faulty battery packs where some of the cells are discharged more than others creating imbalance and malfunction. I have expected that once the battery voltage becomes lower than the Shutdown voltage (set to 8.400V) - or any cell voltage becomes lower than the Cell shutdown voltage (set to 2.100V) - whatever comes first, -the bq20z75 should trigger the shutdown function and enter sleep mode.
I have seen some cases where some of the cells are more or less complete exhausted, voltage down to 0,300V but still the bq is not entering sleep mode consuming power from an already exhausted battery pack.
Operational modus is 06 in all cases.
Hope anybody might have an opinion if there is any parameter that could prevent the shutdown function to work OK.
Best regards
