We use the bq34z100 battery gauge chip.
We have built a battery block which consists of 56 Li-ion battery cells of 15.6Ah each. Battery block voltage is 135~234 Volts (nominal 200Volt) and discharge current is up to 40 Amperes. We designed like it identify 56 battery cells with 14 battery cells.
There is some issue.
After a full battery learning cycle, we read unexpected values of SOC, reported from bq34z100 chip.
We checked every 10 sec.
VOLGATE(V) | DISCHAGE(kW) | SOC(%) |
215.8 | 3 | 62 |
217.1 | 4 | 59 |
216.2 | 3 | 63 |
212.4 | 0 | 66 |
213.3 | 1 | 66 |
214.5 | 2 | 66 |
215.9 | 3 | 63 |
217.6 | 4 | 59 |
219.1 | 5 | 59 |
217.3 | 3 | 64 |
216.0 | 2 | 65 |
217.2 | 3 | 64 |
We increase charge power. But, SOC was getting down.
Our customer complained about this dondition.
We cannot explain the bq34z100 SOC report.
2. We need to set SOC 0% level lower.
Please, let me know how to set SOC 0% level.
EX, It report 0% at 45V, now. But we need to set 0% at 35V.
Thanks in advance for your help.
