I've been trying to run an optimization cycle using the BQ34Z100-G1EVM and a Enersys Cyclon DT PbA 4500 mAh battery pack (3 cells in series) without success. I followed the Step-by Step Design procedure in SLUSBZ5A and set the values as shown below:
Design Capacity = 4500
Design Energy = 27000
Cell Charge Voltage T1-T2 = 2350, T2-T3 = 2270, T3-T4 = 2200
Number of Series Cells = 3
VOLSEL is set.
I ran a voltage calibration cycle, and set the CC Gain and CC Delta parameters to 0.01 ohms
Cell Terminate Voltage = 1833
Quit Current = 700
Qmax Cell 0 = 4500
Selected battery Chemistry 801 which matches the cells in our pack. I did notice that after selecting the battery chemistry the Device Chemistry field in the Data Memory still shows LION, is this a problem?
I set the Addition Chemistry Related Configurations according to Table 27 in SLUSBZ5A.
I then ran an optimization cycle according to SLUA334B following the procedure for when a close Qmax value is known.
After running the optimization cycle the Max Error remains at 100%. Any thoughts as to what I might be doing wrong? I do have log files if they are needed.
