Since my last post has not been answered, I will try to create a new one with less information.
I would like to know, because it is not very clear in the datasheet, if the bq34z100 can operate without I2C connection for end-equipment.
So, if I understand correctly the datasheet, I can configure the flash memory of the bq34z100 with I2C communication. But, for the final product, if I do not have any I2C communication, I can only have a State-of-Charge feature with the LED. Again, if I understand correctly, all other features such as "battery almost empty", "charge completed", etc. will set the "alarm pin". This pin should be connected to an MCU's interrupt, then the microcontroller can check the registers to know why the alarm pin has been set. So, without I2C communication, I will not have all these features.
Did I understand correctly? Sorry for asking again, but I cannot start a design without being sure that it can meet the specification.
