Only a single-cell 3.6V, 2.6 Ah Primary Lithium-Thionyl Chloride (Li-SOCI2) battery will be used in this application.
When check marking "Primary Lithium" battery in TI's Battery Fuel Gauge selector tool, bq2052 and bq2060A are determined best fit for the application. Since only one battery is needed, bq2060A is no longer a fit and the only option is bq2052. A gas gauge is only needed to monitor battery voltage and current levels to determine battery life.
Is bq2052 really the best fit for this battery chemistry about TI gas gauge portfollio?
What is the typ. active Iq when Vcc=3.6V? Spec shows 90uA typ when Vcc=3.0V and 120uA typ when Vcc=4.24V.
Looking for an education on Li-SOCI2 and why it might be special or other battery chemistries.
Thank you in advance.
