We're using the BQ27520YZFT-G4 in our design and are having trouble configuring it properly to work with our 1700mAh cell.
The cell is LiPo but the chemistry is unknown (the manufacturer won't disclose it). Our system is very similar to a typical smartphone (i.e. screen, camera, wifi).
First of all, is there a way to characterize the unknown chemistry and create a chemistry ID specifically for our application?
Next, I would like to know the exact definitions of the entries in "Parameters Q&A" is bqStudio; specifically:
1. What is TI's definition of "standby mode" ? I assume we are talking about system's state of operation with the screen turned off.
2. See attached photo below. Should the parameters Quit Current and Dsn Current be negative values or positive values? (i.e. are the thresholds set in the charge region or not?)
