Hello,
I wanted to verify the programming steps using BQ Mgmt Studio. Is this correct...
1. A FW engineer made a new GI from an old one because some of the gg registers needed updated from the original image TI provided. I note that when I program the GI, the QEN bit is already set, which doesn’t appear to be procedurally correct. I note that when I program the older image from TI, QEN is not set, and I have to manually enable it. IS QEN being set upon program ok or is this an issue?
2. As far as programming the GI using BQ Mgmt Studio:
To program:
a) Select file
b) Select Program
c) Select Execute twice
The programming step seems to work since programming is successful, but when I execute, I get a message from BQ Mgmt Studio ‘failed to execute FW no acknowledgement form device’. I have to close and reopen Bq Mgmt Studio to communicate and FG seems to be working after that. (I have newest rev of MQ MGMT Studio). IS this a known issue?
Once I communicate I do the following steps, should I be doing more or less to ensure gauge is properly operating?
1) Enable IT
2) Enable HQDINT
3) Reset (Should I be resetting the FG?)
Thank you!
