Doubt regarding Learning Cycle Procedure

Hi,

I am trying to perform learning cycle with 7Ah 12V PBA battery with bq34z100-g1. 

My doubt is that should I give IT_ENABLE command at the start of learning cycle?

In gauge datasheet, it is written that IT_ENABLE command is typically given as the last step of production after the system test is completed.

But document SLUA597(Achieving the successful learning cycle) and some threads on this forum mention that IT_ENABLE command should be given at the start of learning cycle. It is a bit confusing.
