BQ34Z100-G1 voltage and current measurement error/offset

Hello,

I'm using the BQ34Z100-G1 EVM together with my 7S2P battery pack, and I have gone thorugh all the steps of voltage, current and temperature calibration and right now I'm running the optimasation process.

In parallell with BQ34Z100-G1 I have also connected a multimeter directly in series with the battery to measure the actual charge/disharge current and also a multimeter in parallel with the pack to measure the actual total batteyr pack voltage.

Now, in spite of the calibration there is nearly constant offset between the BQ34Z100 measured voltage and current compared to the voltage and current observed on the two multimeters. The current differes around 50mA (i.e BQ34Z100 is reporting 50mA more than the multimeter) and the voltage differs around 600mV (i.e BQ34Z100 is reporting 600mV less than the multimeter).

Right now I'm discharging the battery pack and I have connected the + pole of the 7S2P pack to the terminal BAT+, and the - pole of the 7S2P pack to the terminal BAT-. The load is connected between the terminals BAT+ and PACK-.

Is this deviation normal or have I not connected the batterypack and load correctly to the BQ34Z100EVM ?

Best regards

Ronny
