I am looking for some assistance with the overcurrent thresholds on the bq20z90-v150. I am using the bq20z90-v150 and bq29330 in a 3s3p configuration. I have the OC (1st tier) Dsg set at 3.0A and OC (1st tier) Dsg Time set at 2 seconds, OC (2nd tier) Dsg set at 4.0A and OC (2nd tier) Dsg Time set at 1 second. When I check the performance of the battery pack under overcurrent conditions, I get the pack taking from 3.5 seconds to trip at 3.1A down to 2.5 seconds to trip at 3.9A (1st tier level), and from 2.5 seconds to trip at 4.1A down to 1.6 seconds to trip at 4.9A (2nd tier level). The AFE OCD works just fine. I am using an electronic load to provide the current load, and it has a very good risetime on the current signal. This is happening on multiple packs, so I don't think it is an isolated event.
Can somebody out there help me?
