Part Number:BQ78350-R1
Dear all,
i'm using my electronics including a BQ78350-R1 with 3S LifePO4 batteries (A123 APR18650M1).
I've set the chemistry ID 0x0404 (that fits perfectly) and design capacity (1100mAh) for the cell.
I'm using EV2300 and BQStudio to monitor it and to do some charge/discharge tests.
Here's my problem:
- If I fully discharge the pack and then fully re-charge it, the estimated SOC will be very close to 100%. That's fine.
- ...but then, as soon as I close the output MOS to attach the external load to start the discharge, the SOC immediately falls down to few % (typically between 2 and 7%). Why?
I assume this is not a normal behavior. What's wrong?
Is it related to the CEDV parameters? I'm using the CEDV default parameters and not changed them yet. Should i change them? How?
Or... could it be generated by a spurious reset of the BQ78350 caused by the load transient? How to detect whether this is the case? Any recommendation to avoid that?
Anything else?
Thank you in advance for your kind help.
