Part Number:BQ28Z610
Hi,
our customer is using BQ28Z610 and close to ramp production.
He is facing some issues with the part.
1st:Is it possible to change the deep discharge voltage and is there a other way to get the battery pack up and running without unseal the pack.
Unseal Pack and CHG_FET_TOGGLE after deep discharge test required,
else the pack will be disabled forever, this should not happen too early (or better never):
After discharging the 2 battery cells down to ~4.4V (temporary bridging the FETs) charging didnt work anymore afterwards.
Unseal of Pack and CHG_FET_TOGGLE in bqstudio required
Which setting has to be changed to prevent that? Where is the Undervoltage limit?
2nd:
Is there data looging and scripting interface to BQ-Studio:
Long ago (~2010) there was a scripting interface to the old EV2300 Software
https://e2e.ti.com/support/power_management/battery_management/f/180/t/49259
Unfortunately VB6 only not supported any more, that’s real progress in Software, less features.
Can I start bqstudio at least in a mode that that starts logging automatically?
Firmware: we have not repgrogrammed the TI eval board, only made a readout to srec file
Where do I get the default srec content for the eval board?
I tried Update chemistry (ChemUpdate585.zip) though said successful, I ended up with a empty chemistry window
> reinstall bqstudio required
3rd: data logging BQ-Studio:
In BQ-Studio it seems that the data logging does not work reliable with 4 samples
3 of samples produces random log errors, all 4 samples produces some times data glitches.
As a reference I have connected the TI bq28z610 evm, there I see no log errors or data glitches (over one hour).
The connection from the EVM2300 to the battery is as short as possible.
Many Thanks
Best wishes,
Olrik
