Hi,
I have been experimenting with the bq34z100 Eval Module.
I have removed the onboard 0.01 ohm sensing resistor and replaced it with an external 50 mv/500A shunt (0.1 mOhms). I am having some issues with calibration and I am think that the issue is that the full scale voltage on the sense input is too small (data sheet recommends a max of 0.8v).
A couple of questions:
- How accurate are the ADCs on the current input?
- Can I externally multiple the inputs by 10x to use up more of the ADCs range?
- or Is there an internal multiplier that I can set?
- Is it even possible to set the device up to measure > 327.6 A?
