HPA495 Voltage Reference

Two questions regarding the voltage reference as I suspect the HPA495 User Guide (sluu397a) is using references to the HPA169 diagram (sluu238b)

1. Should I have my fuel gauge circuit connected during VTI calibration or should the HPA be unloaded? 
2. Where do I measure the reference voltage? The user guide says to measure DIMM1 for voltage and DIMM2 for current, but I'm sure the current should be DIMM5 according the diagram in sluu397a so I'm not sure whether the voltage ref point is correct.
