Hello,
I recently purchased the EV2300 module for use with bq34z100EVM. Also, I downloaded the bq34z100 Evaluation Software (Rev. A) from the website and installed it via 'Run As Administrator'. I'm using Windows 7 64-bit.
However, as soon as I try to launch the application from the desktop icon I get the following message:
Run-time error '339':
Component bq80RW.ocx or one of its dependencies not correctly registered: a file is missing or invalid
Note:
Before I installed using 'Run As Administrator' I had already attempted installing by simply double-clicking the installer (i.e., not explicitly as Administrator). The installation proceeded with occasional prompts that the system was unable to register certain *.ocx files, etc. I then realized my oversight, uninstalled the application and then tried to reinstall with the proper 'Run As Administrator' approach but got the above listed error. Turns out, the application does not really uninstall, and leaves its tentacles in the registry that prevents proper installation on the next try. This is really perplexing because I don't have a way to tell which registry entries to delete. This means that short of reinstalling the whole operating system I can't use the EV2300 box. Please help.
