Above is screen capture from eval software for the bq20z45R-1. This is from a production pack 2S4P, this pack just finished a full charge a few minutes before this was captured... as the voltage has relaxed a little. The charge was a CC/CV (3.0A/8.4V) using a bq24610 with ITerm= 800mAh. The RSOC is 67% FCC=11134 CycleCnt=3, Max Error=1%, Initial Qmax (cell0,cell1,pack)=12050 [QMax now: 12020,12035,12020 for cell0,cell1,pack], yada, yada.
We see this behavior (full charge & only sixty-something to eighty-something %) on occasion in our packs, I estimate that it occurs in less than 5% of the production packs. The initial Max Error is 144%, and normally after use (a cycle or 2 with rest) this goes to 1% as it should.
On packs where I have seen this, I have been able do an uninterrupted cycle w/rest (sometimes 2 are needed) and the gauge will correct itself (96%+ after full charge). One big positive of the ITrack devices that drawn us to them was that we were not suppose to have to cycle production packs for calibration as we did with our previous Gen GG devices.
I need to some assistance in figuring out what's causing this to happen how to correct it.
