BQ24450: BQ24450 24V Lead Acid Battery charger circuit Resistors Value

Part Number:BQ24450

I have a dilemma with input voltage. If I want to charge 2 lead acid batteries, external supply voltage must be greater than 29.6V (+/- temperature correction) and need to calculate losses on diode (0.6V), transistor (Quasi-Darlington 0.6V) and losses on Risns(0.25V) is about 32V for two lead acid batteries. If I chose transformer wit secondary voltage 24V (AC) rectifier with diode bridge and put capacitance to make 5% voltage distortion, it will be about 33.9V for supply. Is it enough to charge current max 6A if is transformer declared 300VA?

Kind Regards
