Part Number:BQ25713B

BQ25713B . We connected only a battery to the system. we can communicate with the  BQ25713B via the I2C only if the battery voltage is >16.8V. What the communication has to do with the battery  voltage?

TPS74401: TPS74401 BIAS Voltage

Part Number:TPS74401

I used LDO “TPS74401” for 1.8V  to1.0V and 1.8V to 1.2V conversion @1A

As we connected BIAS to VIN 1.8V, i am not getting the expected output voltage (As per the datasheet VBIAS should be min 2.375V)

Can anybody please suggest, is any alternate ways to get the expected voltage without  PCB re-work.

Thanks in advance

LM3409: LM3409 and LM3409HV PMOS selection

Part Number:LM3409

Hi

We ship a lot of products with LM3409 and with LM3409HV.

The only PMOS suggestion in webbench is FDC5614P. This is a 60V PMOS in a Super SOT-6 package and it performs admirably.

The switching frequency is around 500kHz. We use the LM3409 in several different configurations from 20V to 50V and 0.9 to 4A.

The problem is getting hold of enough FDC5614P. It is a constant struggle and we desperately need one or more alternatives. We have tried to calculate the mosfet losses (conduction loss + switching loss + gate loss) in an effort to find a good alternative. But we have not been able to find a PMOS that comes close to the FDC5614P neither on paper or in practical tests.

Our calculations may be wrong of course.

Could you suggest or point to a method or formula to correctly calculate the power losses in this PMOS. And are there any additional things to keep in mind regarding the LM3409 driver except to minimise Qg?

BQ40Z50EVM-561: BQ40Z50EVM-561 vs BQ40Z60EVM-578

Part Number:BQ40Z50EVM-561

Hello,

I am designing a smart battery management system for a 4S2P lion pack. User should only connect a DC voltage to the battery pack and everything else (charging, battery management, gas gauging, cycle counting) should be handled by the battery management system and (upon request) reported to a uC

I was going through the evaluation boards from TI and came across below options

BQ40Z50EVM-561

BQ40Z60EVM-578

Going through the documents, I think that BQ40Z50 doesn't support the charging option.

For my case, should I choose BQ40Z60EVM so that charging, battery management and gas gauging are all supported?

I would be happy to hear your suggestions

best regards

Hello folks,

I am looking for a 4S2P battery pack for use with TI evaluation modules (most probably for use with BQ40Z60EVM-578)

Can you please suggest battery packs that you have used for TI EVMs?

I would like to avoid messing with the cables and batteries if possible and simply purchase a ready to use pack.

thanks

BQ78Z100: SoC rapidly drops down to 0%

Part Number:BQ78Z100

Hi team,

The customer observed an abnormal behavior that the SoC suddenly dropped down to 0% from 18% when the remaining time came down to around 50mins (SoC 18%). However, in such a situation, the voltage was correctly output to CUV and the discharge current flowed without any problem, What's happening on the device inside? Could you tell us what the workaround or the correct register settings is to remove such a behavior?

Part Number:LP38693-ADJ

Hi team,

One of my customers wants to use LP38693-Adj for his New project.

The current requirement may be more than 500mA for few msec. They have already this part in AVL list.

The customer is interested in knowing the Foldback current limit graph with Vin-Vout <4V and also Vin-Vout>4V.

Please share the same.

Hi Guys

UCC28950 configured as Slave mode, suddenly interrupt its SYNC (Pin 16) pin PWM signal during its operation, can it immediately turn off the UCC28950 drive signals OUTA, OUTB, OUTC...?

If we want to immediately turn off /disable drive signals such as OUTA, OUTB, OUTC, etc., which pins can be controlled?

hi,

we are trying to simulate a schematic based on TPS56C215 but we are facing some challenges with simulation / TINA model.

in brief, when adding an input filter we observe a wrong SW node (a double pulse, triggered by noise).

I have more pics and the scheme but i wish not to publish it here

thanks a lot in advance

TPS563201: Regarding the minimum voltage range

Part Number:TPS563201

hi ,

One of my customer is considering TPS563201 for the spects :

I/p - 4.8 V to 12V

o/p - 3.3 V @ 3A.

The webench design is not allowing the design for reason of duty cycle violation .

According to the datasheet . :

The maximum recommended operating duty cycle is 75%. Using that criteria, the minimum recommended input voltage is VO / 0.75.

which says the required input range is permissible.

can anyone help to clarify this issue .

Thanks

I have a problem with LMR16006YDDCR. Input voltage is 12V, output voltage has to be 3,3V (I use resistor divider 33kOhm, 10kOhm at FB pin). But when I apply input voltage, output voltage is equal to 0,77V .(feedback voltage ??). Shutdown pin is left floating.

Part Number:TPS54302

Hello,

Could you please verify the design in the attachments:

Design1:

It is supposed to convert 24VDC to 5VDC @max2Amp
This design has already been produced and it does not provide sufficient power.,
Please advise if it is possible to patch this circuit somehow to make it work.

Design2:

It is supposed to convert 24VDC to 3.3VDC @max1Amp
This design has not been produced yet, but it is in production.
Please provide your feedback if this solution will also fail or will it be able to operate and provide 3.3VDC @ 1Amp?

Thank you in advance for help and reviewing.(Please visit the site to view this file)

Part Number:LM5069

Dear Team,

1. What is the concern here the back to back MOS use different MOS?

In my idea, it should be ok to use the same one.

2.My customer will use 2+2 back to back, for the thermal issue. Is there any concern here?

The driving ability is ok?

How to calculate the total 4 MOS still have enough driving ability? Related to total Qg of 4 MOS?
