UCC28720: The power supply output voltage is good with no load, but drops the voltage when loaded

Hello,

I copied the reference design inside UCC28720 datasheet, including same part numbers for discrete. The design gives the expected output with no load connected, and when a 10 ohm load is added the voltage drops to zero with some repeatitive peaks. I don't know where is the potential problem since it is completely following the reference design


LM25011: Soft Start function

LM25011 is damaged when Css value increase(0.122uF) at input voltage ON/OFF test.

Do you have any cause that LM25011 is damaged by increasing Css value?

Vin=34V, Vout=26V, Fsw=500kHz, no load condition.

And I would like to know Css discharge function. On datasheet block diagram, I think SS pin has FET for discharge.
When does this FET turn ON? Is there possibility that Css is not full discharged because capacitance value is large, and Vin is added in this condition, then LM25011 is damaged?

BQ25710: Lead Acid Battery

Hi All,

Is it possible to use the BQ25710 to recharge a 12V, 8A, Lead Acid Battery?

Looking at the datasheet it seems the maximum cell number is limited to 4, while the battery I need to use has 6 cells with 2.1V/cell, which is half of the default value in REG0x15().

Which configuration, if any, shall be used for a such type of battery?

BQ34Z100-G1: About loop count problem

Dear TI technical experts: After self-learning, I changed the status to 02 and then performed charging and discharging to test whether my equipment met expectations, but what surprised me was:
1. Why does my full charge capacity display drop from 16.5A to 15.2A?
2. The cycle count is increasing during the discharge. During one complete charge and discharge process, my cycle count increases from 0 to 15, which is obviously problematic.

Is it possible to have design as below:

If Vin<54, Vo boost to 54V.

If Vin>54V, Vin =Vo. The LM5118 will by pass the Vin.

I got two questions from my customer about TPS26600.
Could you tell me the following questions?

1.
I think that NC terminal should be open, but its is connected to RTN terminal in EVM schematic.
Which is correct?

2.
If I want to be enabled TPS26600(not to use SHDN terminal) at all times, should I open it's teminal?

LM5175:Chip heating is serious, when the input voltage is greater than 9 V, Vcc output is still only 4 V.

Set input 15V, output 5V, 1A. The chip is always damaged, the heat is serious, the VCC output is only 4V, the amplitude of the four-way drive pulse becomes only 4V, and the duty cycle does not conform to the theoretical value. Moreover, the switch noise is high when the chip is not damaged


LM4050-N: Vout accuracy at low temp

Hi

Our customer found a sample which has low accuracy at low temp. (Please see the following temp.)

Vs=8V, Vout=5V, LM4050AIM3-5.0

1. Do you think that accuracy of a failure sample is not normal at low temp?

2.Is there any wrong value for the external resistor and capacitor?

(I think the Rs is a little bit smaller than start value but it is not big problem for this case.)

TLV1117: SPX3819M3-3.3 P2P device recommendation

Hi guys.

Does TI have the P2P device too SPX3819M3? This device input spec can cover 16V. it is a little bit lower. So do we have similar or P2P function device to replace it?  Our system input voltage is around 12V. output is 3.3V. current require the device cover 1A.

TPS51200: VREFOUT overshoot and VTT step

hi, anyone who concerns,

The TPS1200 circuit works in Enable mode.

I figured out the VREFOUT waveform starting up with an overshoot . 

And VTT with a step follow VDDQ as figure shows below.

I find some similar questions in forum but no exact conclusion.

Would you please give me some advise on eliminating the overshoot and step? Thx:D

BQ24259: abnormal current consumption

Hi,

my customer is using BQ24259 in their product. All load are connected to SYS.

VSYS will be boosted to 5V to the OTG port through PMU to power external products like keyboard.

When the customer powers the system with battery and no adaptor, the current from the battery will be around 800mA.

But when they connect the OTG 5V to VBUS of BQ24259, the current from the battery will upgrade to about 1.3A.

It's a strange phenomenon and how can we explain it?

LM20242: High switching noise at output voltage

Hello, 

I have designed DC to DC converter with IC LM20242 using WEBENCH Design tool. Input is of 24VDC and output is 10VDC, 0.5A at switching frequency 545kHz.

I'm facing problem in output voltage. it has high switching noise at output(nearly 7 volt peak to peak).

I found this schematic in one of your EVM designs foe the ISO5852s. Is this 3V3 Zener (MMSZ4683T1G) used to increase the threshold voltage of Desat triggering?

Is there any math by which I can estimate the amount of current that the IGBT will have to pass through before turnning-off (max current)?
