I am having trouble in solving the equation 128 (Section 8.2.2.10.1, page 47, DS). I am using the same value mentioned in the example given i.e.,
Rload=2.4ohm | Cout= 5.6mF | ESRcout= 12mohm | Rcs= 47ohm | CTrat = 100 | a1=21
After solving this equation this is what I am getting (f=fpp/10):
-0.52+i0.31
Now how do I use the above obtained value to calculate the value of R5 in Equation 133?
I tried taking their magnitude i.e., 0.61 but couldn't get the obtained value i.e., 27.9kohm

There are few question need your help on BQ25570 here,
1. What is the static power consumption when the buck circuit is enabled?
2.When connect a rechargeable lithium battery to the VBAT pin. If let the VSTOR pin connected to the (4.7uF+0.1uF) capacitor is OK?
3. Due to the size limitation of the product, the 22uH inductor is evaluated by the CBMF1608T220K, 22uH/±10%/70mA/0603.
The 10uH inductor is CBMF1608T100K, 10uH ±10% 115mA/0603. The peak current of our circuit should have more than 30 mA. Is it feasible?
4. The open circuit voltage >=0.4v of solar cell we selected is used in indoor environment, short-circuit current >=30uA, the whole machine except the power supply part circuit, standby current is required about 1~2uA, does the solar cell meet the requirements?
5. How to set the undervoltage protection of the battery? There are also two sets of voltages OK_PROG and OK_HYST, how to leverage them?

They are hoping to build a simulation environment to make sure their design is ok.

In the datasheet of BQ25895, it says:
The device provides the control to generate the VBUS current pulse protocol to communicate with adjustable high voltage adapter in order to signal adapter to increase or decrease output voltage. To enable the interface, the EN_PUMPX bit must be set. Then the host can select the increase/decrease voltage pulse by setting one of the PUMPX_UP or PUMPX_DN bit (but not both) to start the VBUS current pulse sequence.
So my understanding is that the handshake for higher VBUS like 9V, 12V is achieve by VBUS. Right?
For example, if the MCU write 1 to PUMPX_UP, it will send signal through VBUS to the adaptor, and adaptor will increase VBUS to 9V, after finished, PUMPX_UP returns to 0. If I write 1 to PUMPX_UP again, VBUS will be increased to 12V, Right?
And VBUS can only be set to 5V, 9V, 12V, no other value, right?
If the device is BQ25890H, we can increase VBUS through both D+/D– Bits in REG01 and PUMPX_UP or PUMPX_DN bit in REG09, right?
through D+/D- bits, we can increase VBUS through 500mV step, right?
through PUMPX_UP or PUMPX_DN, we can only set VBUS to 5V, or 9V, or 12V, right?
For REG02 in both BQ25895 and BQ25890H, why would we have HVDCP_EN and MAXC_EN? What's the difference between HVDCP and maxcharge?

Hello TI,
I am working with an LM5118. Reference design was created on the Webench utility.
I am having an issue with the output current being lower than spec'd.
This circuit was designed to have an input range of 18-43Vdc and output 20Vdc 2Amps.
Unloaded the circuit works well.
When loaded (30-100 Ohms) the circuit fails.
Being that the circuit works unloaded suggests to me that this may be a component issue (not the LM5118) but after a few days testing I have no real solution yet.
Can you review my schematic/BOM/layout to help me resolve this?

I I can see that you have TPS3431SDRBR (Standard) Component and TPS3431SQDRBRQ1 (Automotive), I just wonder Little about plating.
According to this page you homepage and datasheet TPS3431SDRBR have NIPDAU plating and TPS3431SQDRBRQ1 just have SN plating, is it any reason for this difference or is it just depending of another factory?

Dear All,
I am having few problems in completing the learning cycle for BQ34z950. Here are few questions
1) How can ChemId need to be configure in BQ34z950 since it is not available in BQstudio I am using a EVSW (bq EVSW Version: 0.9.90 for bq34z950 v0.02). Please see the attachment of screen sort.
2) Here is the steps I am using.
a) Send IT enable(0x21) to manufacturer Access. QEN and VOK is HIGH.
b) Send Reset(0x41) to manufacturer Access. QEN is HIGH and VOK is LOW.
c) Discharge ti Empty and rest Until REST = 1. There is NO REST BIT is BQ34z950. How do I identify that REST is complete?
d) Charge to FULL see VCT = 1. There is NO VCT bit the charging status register of BQ34z950. How to see this??
e) Rest until REST = 1.
d) Update status will should to change to 5.
f) Check RDIS = 0. Again There is NO RDIS Bit in BQ34z950 TRF. How to Identify this???
g) Rest until REST = 1 and Update status = 6.
Please Help me on my above query.

The product I designed USES the LM3409 chip as the constant current drive source of the relay, which needs to provide about 3.5a constant current of 100mS after power on, and then provide about 800mA constant output current, and the load resistance is 2-3R.
The problems we encountered in debugging are as follows:
(1)LM3409 Unable to output constant current,current varies with load.
(2)When the load is below 3R, the system has no output.
Please give some advice on the above questions,thank you.

Hi there, I am Using the BQ34110 EVM with EV2300 connected to the computer. After running (bqstudio),
I get the following error: " the detected device is not compatible with this application! some actions could cause the lose communication permanently and enter an unrecoverable state. Proceed at your own risk. Select ok to continue, cancel to close the application."
I select OK and,(bqstudio) is open.
I want to run a characterization test for Lead-Acid 6V, 4.5Ah battery. Therefore I want to do some configurations. I click on Data_Memory >> Calibration >> Voltage divider >> value to change the default value of 5000 mV into 19200 mV, but every time I try to do so I get the following error: " A read of data written failed comparison "
I face the same problem when trying to change any parameter value in the Data-Memory, not only the voltage divider.
Any suggestion and help would be much appreciated.

A) For the BQ20Z95(SLUS757C) component, please clarify the following Electrical timing parameters that are stated in datasheet under section "SMBUS TIMING CHARACTERISTICS".
1) t(LOW:SEXT) - stated values are in micro-seconds
2) t(LOW:MEXT) -stated values are in micro-seconds
Is this in error and should have been stated in Milli-seconds? The datasheet for a similar component, the bq20z655-R1 (SLUSAN9A), states these values in milli-seconds. Milli-seconds are in harmony with the SMBUS specification.
B) For both the BQ20Z95 and the bq20z655-R1 components under section "ELECTRICAL CHARACTERISTICS", under "table headings "LOGIC" and "LOGIC; SMBC, SMBD, PFIN,PRES,SAFE,ALERT" please clarify for the I/Os SMBC and SMBD:
1) the VOL value for a current sink load and
2) the max current these I/Os (open drain) can sink and associated VOL.
The datasheet is not clear on these I/Os parameters.
