LM5176: LM5176+TPS65987D的PDO Feedback resistor problem

HI,

 our TPS65987D的PDO 4pcs only(5 9 15 20V ),but we need 5pcs PDO(5 9 12 15 20V).

  like this can't matching the PDO pins one by one.

so Eric(TPS65987D FAE) suggest enter TT Mode (true table) for TPS65987D .

it should be get 7PCS PDO controll pins. but didn't answer us,is it by decorder(3:8) or directly for contact the FB resistor(show as below)

could you help me any sugest about it?

  is it by directly (calulation the resistor very difficult for PDO 15V)or decoreder(3:8) method?

LMZ36002: Switching Frequency Selection and results of use out of allowable range

The data sheet provides "allowable" switching frequencies under some described conditions; however, there is no information about the resulting behavior if conditions change and the part is used outside of the datasheet descriptions. 

See:

7.3.2 Switching Frequency (RT)

7.3.3 Recommended Operating Range

Can TI add some graphs of out of limit, exceeding "allowable", or crossing outside "allowable" limit behavior in "Typical Characteristics" graph section?

Can TI add further explanation of failure modes or reasons for limiting switching frequency selection range.

For example: We have a design for 24V input, 1.5A, 4V output, 850kHz (53.6k resistor). What happens if end user incorrectly installs with 36V input power?

explosion?

loss of efficiency?

output voltage regulation failure?

short term failure?

How do we safely test and observe resulting behavior? Probe Input, Output, ?PH

What is procedure of switching off device after EN pin is disable?

I want to check the PWM Duty range, I find in datasheet,it recommend min PWM Ton is 10uS, so for 20KHz PWM, it min Duty is 20%,is it right?

I find TPS61199's recommend min PWM ton is 1us, so it min Duty is 2% for 20KHz.

What's factor to limit this min pwm Ton ? one competitor's PWM duty range could be 1%-100% in range of 100Hz-20kHz.such as RT8532

I have a problem getting TPS63001 to work at all.  Design is from webench - except I have PS/SYNC low to save power

Layout:

It appears to output -0.3V!

I've tried inserting the RC filter for VINA, with no change.

Hi,

we are working on bq34z100-g1 for our own design and we are going for mass production but we stuck on some point. 

For our design we have to display charging, discharging and voltage to the customer. But the issue is I am not getting SOC. SOH is correct.

Before going with our design I worked on bq34z100 Eve board and I got expected result. SOC was increasing on charging condition. Chem ID used for this is 1165 . We are using ICR18650-26J M Samsung battery. 

These are the following configuration I have done on eve board for 6s1p cell.

Design capacity : 2600mAh,

Design Energy : 2600 * 3.63 = 9438

Pack configuration : 0x6901

Pack configuration B : 0x0f

pack configuration C : 0xb7

No of series cell : 6

I got 100% SOC on 25.08 which I was supposed to get on 25.2 and SOH was 99%.

I generated golden file with above setting and firmware used for bqstudio is 0100_0_16-bq34z100G1. bqstudio version 1.3.54.1.

Same golden file I programmed on our design and Chem ID 1165. But I am not getting SOC value and temperature(external) is showing around -39.2"C. 

What could be the issue, Its a design fault , Chem ID is different or some other issue. 

Kindly provide your input to solve this issue.

LM5176: LM5176 is supposed to work in CCM mode, but it works in DCM mode according to the inductor waveform(SW1 and SW2)

LM5176 is supposed to work in CCM mode both with light load and heavy load, but it works in DCM mode according to the inductor inductor current waveform(SW1 and SW2), it's discontinuous current.

UCC28070: Inquire UCC28070 HV DC input application
