TPS92515: Inquiry about an efficiency

I would like to ask you the following questions.

Q1
Please let me know about this equation ?
This is the equation 12 in page 18 of data-sheet.

Is 60E-9 a MOS-FET switching time?
Is 1.2 an efficiency of switching conversion?

Q2
Would you tell me how should I estimate an efficiecy of n?
Should I allways estimate an efficiency of n as 0.9?
Otherwise should I calculate n from resistors ,condensers and inductoers around this device?
I want to use 24V for Vin, but the graphs in datasheet about efficiency show 30V or 42V as minimum of Vin.

Q3
Could you provide me with an efficiency in this case?
Vin=24V
Vout=20V
Iout=0.25A
fsw=250kHz

Hi,

In UCC23513 datasheet, a suggestion interlock circuit is proposed. But I am curious about the CMR problem especially when LED is off. Always we shunt a transistor with LED when LED is off which is good for CMR. But for the Interlock circuit, there is no shunt path for LED off. Will I face the CMR problem with interlock circuit?

TLV62565: negative voltage maximum rating

              Below is customer testing waveform of SW to GND. But negative voltage is -2.08V and looks over specification. Could I know this negative voltage meet SW specification and will not damage device? Thank you.

TPS22953: Can we use the power switch only for negative input voltage ?

I need a power switch with enable pin to provide the load with -0.6V to -1.0V. Current is less than 1A.

Can we use the TPS22953 for the negative input voltage? If it will work, how do we hook up the power?

Is there an example schematic for negative input voltage.

If the device TPS22953 will not work, please recommend another device that will work.

Hi~

We found the output voltage raise is not smooth and with glitch when the output voltage is set to 1.8V.

I checked with the waveform in the datasheet and it seems there is same behavior.

May I know why the raising is not smooth and how to improve it?

Hi there,

I am using UCC28722 for energy meter application with three phase input by using guidelines of SLAU721A.

The components values as per SLAU721A are all same with difference that input instead of single phase its 3 phase bridge rectifier

My issue is that Ic's are getting damaged at normal power Up, I have checked the resistances at various PINs then it shows base drive pin ie PIN 3 of UCC28722 is shorted to ground or

sometimes VDD.

Hi team.

The TPS3808-Q1 datasheet specifies the VIH and VIL values of VIT.

I thought about VIH and VIL of VIT as follows.

  • VIL : The voltage at which Sense is recognized as Low.
  • VIH : The voltage at which Sense is recognized as High.

However, in Figure 1 below, the voltage at which Sense is recognized as High is indicated as VIT + VHYS.

1. Please describe VIH and VIL of VIT in detail. (Explain how it relates to Reset operation)

2. Please explain VIH and VIL relationship with hysteresis.

I am designing the BMS using bq40z50-r2 and Bq494700.

My first question is,

1.Will these two IC's completes BMS requirements?

2. Whether the internal cell balancing is enough?

3.Whether smbus supports I2C?

4.Are the charge and discharge FET's are PWM controlled?

5. Is ther any voltage regulation is happening depends on the number of cells connected?? lets say, If  the input voltage is 12V for 4 cells.

TPS61291: TPS61291 3V3 with 3.6 Li-Battery

Hello,

I would like to use the TPS61291 with a LiMnO2 Battery (3V full, 2V near empty). The Device will deliver 3.3V for the Main Application. The battery type we would use, is also available as LiSoCl2, which has a starting voltage of 3.6V, similar to Li-Ion Battery packs.  Since it is possible (but not recommoend) to insert such a battery, it would be bad if the device gets destroyed. All devices that are on the 3.3V output have a maximum rating of >4V, so they would not be a problem.

Is it a critical problem if the TPS61291 would be powered with 3.6V when Vout is 3.3V, or would it just "condcut" and forward the voltage?. I am aware, that its possible to switch to bypass, but this is only available when the MCU has already started, to determine that the voltage is 3.6V and switch to bypass. A few milliseconds the Regulator would be on boost configuration?

I designed the circuit as above.
Circuit status.
V_CHG : DC 12V(Power Supply)
VBAT : 1Cell Li-ion(3.7V, 14,000mAh)
TS Pin : Only Res DIV.(No Ext' Connect)
D+, D- : NC
VBUS, VAC : 12V
BAT : 4.0V
SYS : 4.0V
REGN : 6.2V
STAT : High
/PG : High
But...
Power Supply Current is 0mA.
It is not charging.
Is the resistor setting of the TS pin wrong? Or D+,D-?
Plz respond.

TPS23880: TPS23880 cannot work

Hi Sir

We are having problems with the POE circuit. After soldering the circuit, the TPS23772 can work correctly and correctly handshake the output voltage. However, the TPS23880 does not have a handshake signal output. The GAT1 and GAT2 pins are always low, and there is no signal, as if the IC is not powered. However, measuring 3.3V and 52V power supply are normal, please help confirm what is the reason. the TPS23880 Circuit diagram such as attachment

TPS22933: Pins interchangeable?

Dear TI-Team,

I think it's clear but I just want to confirm: the input pins of TPS22933 are interchangeable, right? BAT, USB and DC_IN seem to have the same characteristic so it should be no problem to connect a 5V supply to DC_IN and  a 9V supply to USB, right? Leakage current is no different, either?
