Hi,
I need to reopen an older case, as we found that the problem that is described there actually still exists.

Hi:
The product designed by me USES TI's BQ25882, and trial production of 100Pcs has been carried out, among which 4Pcs of OTG cannot be caught. After analysis, it is found that ADC is not enabled. If ADC_Enable is set to 1, OTG can be caught.Please help to answer the following questions:
1.ADC_Enable Effect?
2.100 pieces have been trial produced, and all the software ADC_Enable is set to 0. Logically speaking, OTG cannot be caught, but actually only 4Pcs cannot be caught. Please help to solve the problem?

Hi,
In my country, best vendor can do min 3.5mills trace width. If I have to go for TYPE 3 board and Use this chip. I need to go for ball size lesser than mentioned min in datasheet
can I reduce the min ball size to 0.225 mm which gives me enough space to take 88um trace from inner balls.
Can anyone point out what can go wrong in this case?
Thanks

If I give -200V at input i.e. V(HS) will be -200 and PGND will be connected to GND.
In this case I will need to remove the bootstrap diode and give V(BST) from an external isolated supply
1)What should the value of V(BST) be?From datasheet 5V should be fine
2)Can V(BST) be continuous of should I control it externally so that it turns on when low side driver is on?
3)If I need to switch V(BST) externally can I use the LO output signal to control a FET?
4)What are the other ways of controlling V(BST)?

Dear,
We are exploring charging IC ,Our application is based to charge 18650 cell with single cell configuration.We will be going to use 5p pack of the battery.
We want charging current of 2 to 2.5A .The source of charging would be 5v/3A charger or 12 v rated DC Adapter,Also IC Current consumption should be less.The consumption of our system is around 30 mA and is battery operated.
We explored some charging IC bq25601,So would this IC suit our application.
Also suggest us some other IC which we suits our application.
Waiting for your response..!!

Dear *,
we have 4 TPS62825DMQ on our PCB to supply four different voltages 3V3, 1V8, 1V2, 1V1.
Vin is 5V.
Can we connect all PG pins together and pull it up to Vin 5V, and then connect to mos-fet that will drive the power good LED?
What should be the size of pull-up resistor if all four PG connected together?
Best Regards,
D.
Part Number:TPS54335A
It is recommended to be similar to the tps54335 function. The current needs to be up to 4A. Please recommend it.
Is it TPS56335? Or have better cost-effective device;
Thanks

Part Number:LMR33620
Hello,
I have chosen the following parts for the LMR33630ADDAR ‑ 6V-30V to 3.30V @ 2A design:
Cin: GRT31CC8YA106KE01L,
Cinx: 810-C3216X7R2A224K,
Cvcc: 810-CGA3E2X5R1A105MA,
Cboot: 963-HMK212B7104KG-T,
L1: 652-SRR1240-150M,
Cout: 81-GRM31CC80J476KE8L (quantity 1),
Coutx: 810-CGA3E2X5R1A105MA.
Unfortunately my design is not starting up and I would be pleased if you could take a look at the parts to check if they are fine. I'm trying to figure out what went wrong.
Kind regards,
Michal

Dear all
Is there any UL report for this device ? Or other certification report ? Certification of any aspect.
Please share to me the reports, or certificate number, Thanks a lot.

When trying to transition from input current of 500mA to 1500mA (transition form 10 to 01 is simultaneous) , the input current changes trough either 100mA or 0mA.
This causes problem when the battery is absent. This causes the system to reset.
Is there a work around?
Part Number:BQ25713
Hello TI power forum,
I'm testing a design based on the BQ25713 and have noticed that occasionally when cycling the power (VBUS) that the switcher will not start up but VSYS stays just over 1V and the SYS_SHORT bit is set. I've tried but cannot reproduce this behavior on the EVM module. We've stayed very close to the EVM reference design so I'm not too sure what is causing this issue. If I manually clear the SYS_SHORT bit then the switcher will immediately start-up.
Some additional observations. With the EV2400 connected and battery management studio open and monitoring the BQ25713 registers I notice that the SYS_SHORT bit actually gets set on a power down event (only sometimes). If I then turn power on immediately it will be stuck on a SYS_SHORT and power cycling will not help unless I power down long enough for the capacitance to drain and SYS_SHORT bit resets (about 5 seconds).
Any idea as to why this is occurring?? This seems to happen in about every 1 in 10 power downs and will only really manifest itself if I power up right away while the SYS_SHORT bit is set.
Thanks,
Dan C.

Dear team,
My customer use this device, when they tested the radiated EMC, it failed. Vin=5V, Vout1=10V, Vout2=-10V, Ioad current=10mA.
The 1.44M frequency point exceeded the standard in the EMC test radiation emission. Through the testing with near field probe, it is determined to be generated by the 65131 circuit, the waveform of the negative phase power switch has a spike on the oscilloscope. The RC snubber circuit is added, but the result didn't improve. Can you help to provide an operational correction or solution to this frequency?
When testing the EMC, the customer changed 0ohm resistors to magnetic beads;
When using the near field probe to test the waveform, the customer also did some changes as below,
1. Increase the load at the positive and negative output terminals respectively, and the resistor is changed from 1k to three 1k in parallel;
2. Change 2 inductors from 4.7uH to 6.8uH (TDK: SPM5030T-5R6M-HZ);
3. Positive and negative outputs are respectively connected in parallel with 560pF capacitors;
4. Add snubber circuit in parallel with the negative direction diode, is 20R, 680pF;
The switching frequency is 1.38MHz. The EMC test result is as below,
SW waveform(L=4.7uH)
SW waveform(L=6.8uH)
negative phase output noise
near filed probe test
the schematic is as below,
the layout is six-layer, the first top layer is as below,
Thanks & Best Regards,
Sherry

Hi,
The datasheet for this part recommends operating with 7.5V < Vin < 20V. Does anyone have any experience running this off higher voltage rails? I'm looking to use something around +25V or even up to 30V. What effect could this have on the operating characteristics?
Thanks
Part Number:BQ2962
Hi TI,
i have a question to the OUT-Pin of the BQ2962. If an undervoltage condition at one of the connected battery cells happens, switches the OUT-Pin to High? Or only by an overvoltage condition?
This is not clearly documented in the datasheet. In the block diagram an page 12 is a trigger shown by charging/discharge. On page 20 in the application curves is no trigger to the OUT-Pin shown.
In my application it works in undervoltage condition too.
What is right?
Thanks for your answer.

Dear all :
I have the following power scheme requirements
Input voltage:DC-160V
Output voltage:(1) DC-24V;(2) DC-48 V
Output power:100W
PCBA size:1/2 brick, 1/4 brick each provide one solution, can be the same solution
Please recommend a low-cost solution?

Part Number:BQ78350-R2-DEVICE-FW
Hi,
I'm posting this question on behalf of my customer. It appears they're having trouble with the EVM of the BQ78350-R2.
we have a problem with the parameter setting of BQ78350-r2.
After each cycle the learned full charge capacity decrease by the value we set in FCC learn down.
The design capacity is 15042 mAh. Normally the pack capacity should be about 1000 mAh above this value, but every time we discharge the pack the learned full charge capacity drop by the specified FCC learn down.
What can be done to correct this?
Thanks,
Lauren
